Bookboost is a guest communication software for the hospitality sector based in Sweden. The company provides a modular customer experience solution to help hotels build lasting relationships with their customers. Continuing its growth trajectory in 2022-23, Bookboost doubled its revenues year-over-year, while maintaining a 98.4% retention rate. It reported SEK 8.4m in contracted ARR in December 2023 and 58 clients, representing 168 properties across markets.
Bookboost doubled its revenues between 2022 and 2023 through proactive customer acquisition and maintaining a high retention rate of 98.4%. The customer base expanded from 38 to 58, primarily in the DACH region, reflecting an average of 2 new customers per month. The company focused on enhancing Average Revenue Per Account (ARPA) by targeting larger establishments, including mid-market independent hotels and chains. Throughout 2023, Bookboost demonstrated a robust Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) of 5.3%. top-line growth was supported by gross margin expansion leveraging services such as Amazon Web Services (cloud computing) and Twilio (cloud communications). There was acorresponding increase in operating costs, driven by consulting expenditures for tech.
Bookboost has already secured SEK 5 million from existing investors, with an additional SEK 7 million remaining open for CVX partner-investments for a pre-Money valuation of 85m SEK. The funds raised will be allocated towards marketing efforts, expanding the team through new hires, and forming sales partnerships.
