CVX Ventures is pleased to announce that two of our partners have made a strategic investment in Unshackled, a Netherlands-based med-tech startup developing heated wearable technology for individuals living with Raynaud’s syndrome.
This investment includes both capital and advisory support. The two partners bring valuable experience in areas such as supply chain operations, medical device compliance, and go-to-market strategy, and are now actively advising the Unshackled team as the company prepares for pilot testing and market entry.
A New Approach to Raynaud’s Treatment
Founded by Sebastian Nyrup and Piyush Gupta, Unshackled has created a smart, battery-powered glove designed to offer a non-invasive alternative to pharmaceutical treatment. The product delivers targeted warmth to improve comfort for Raynaud’s patients. The company has already secured a Proof of Principle grant from LIOF, as well as funding from the Dutch government to explore potential use cases in military settings. Unshackled also received the Maastricht Business Take Off Award and is preparing to generate its first commercial revenue this year.
How CVX Made the Connection
