My name is Oscar Thybo and I have been Board & Advisory Manager at CVX for 3 years. As the Board & Advisory Manager, I assist startups in identifying their challenges and match them with our skilled partners.
Background
My educational background is from Copenhagen Business School, where I specialized in Business Economics, Startups, Marketing, and Investing in ESG. I had a study abroad experience in Singapore, where I studied for 6 months. Alongside my studies, I was part of the startup company Flyhjælp for 5 years. There, I served as a department manager for a team of 22 employees, handling the initial processing of cases against airlines and taking aviation lawsuits to court. Additionally, I worked extensively in Business Development, partnership agreements, finance, and was involved in the execution of the company’s sale to the market leader in Europe.
Highlight
I enjoy meeting passionate founders, hearing about their growth journeys and innovative ideas, and matching them with interesting business profiles. Alongside my role at CVX, I have been a podcast host on Vækstmaskinen, featuring guests such as Mikkel Severin, Morten Resen, and Christian Arnstedt. I love engaging with startups at events, serving as a jury member for pitch competitions, visiting their offices, or connecting online.
The casual side of corporate
Besides being passionate about meeting new people and hearing their stories, I’m an avid sports enthusiast – I play soccer, tennis, padel, and winter swimming.
