Back in April 2023, Servicelovers presented their innovative approach to building service-driven cultures at the CVX Ventures Partner meeting. Their solution combines real-time customer service measurement with methods for motivating employees, using Appreciative Inquiry to help businesses boost customer loyalty, increase sales, and improve profitability. Servicelovers empowers managers with valuable, data-driven insights and provides employees with positive feedback, helping them deliver better customer experiences. But what’s happened since their pitch? We caught up with Founder and Managing Director Christian Brauner to see how things have developed.
From Pitch to Partnership: Signing Philip Brechmann
One of the most impactful outcomes of Servicelovers’ presentation at the CVX Ventures meeting was the decision to bring Philip Brechmann on board as a new board member. Philip, introduced through CVX Ventures’ network, officially joined Servicelovers’ board after the event.
“Philip has been incredibly helpful, especially with pricing strategies and optimizing our tech approach,” Christian Brauner explains. “He’s also introduced us to contacts in his network, opening up exciting new opportunities.”Philip’s insights on AI have been particularly valuable, offering fresh ideas for integrating AI-driven reporting tools into Servicelovers’ product offering. “Having Philip on board has strengthened our decision-making process and brought a new perspective that’s been beneficial for both our team and our product,” Brauner adds.
Steady Growth and New Milestones
Since April, Servicelovers has experienced significant growth. The company is now nearing break-even, a major milestone they’ve been working hard to achieve.
“We’ve managed to maintain growth while focusing on retaining our customers and expanding into new industries,” says Brauner. With new clients from sectors like finance and retail, including big players like Salling Group, Servicelovers has been able to explore new business opportunities while staying committed to service excellence.
“We’re proud of how far we’ve come,” Brauner reflects. “It was important for us not to hit the brakes as we approached break-even, but to keep growing organically.”
Challenges in a Volatile Market
Despite their growth, Servicelovers hasn’t been immune to the challenges posed by today’s economic climate. “These have been turbulent times, with COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and inflation creating uncertainty,” Brauner notes. Raising capital was tough.
The economic uncertainty has pushed Servicelovers to adapt, try new approaches, and double down on their core strengths, especially customer retention and exploring new markets.
A Dynamic Addition to the Boardroom
Bringing Philip Brechmann onto the board has injected fresh energy and new ideas into the company. “We already had a strong and competent board, but Philip has added a dynamic new perspective, particularly when it comes to tech,” Brauner says.
The company’s CTO, Christian, has benefited from having Philip. “Christian now has someone with deep tech expertise to brainstorm with, which has helped drive our technology development forward,” Brauner explains.
Looking Ahead: New Industries and International Expansion
Looking forward, Servicelovers has ambitious goals for the coming year. They plan to expand further into new industries, targeting 2-3 large clients to solidify their growth.
“We’re focusing on customer success, giving even more feedback to our clients and their staff to improve service delivery,” Brauner explains.
Another key objective is international expansion. “We’re exploring how to scale our solution globally, including offering a more automated service with less need for human interaction,” he adds.
Advice for Other Entrepreneurs
Reflecting on their journey, Brauner offers some valuable advice for fellow entrepreneurs. “You might think things will happen quickly, but be prepared for a longer road. Keep pushing, even when things get tough,” he advises.
“Nothing comes easy, and you have to be ready to fight for it.”
He also stresses the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. “Get smart people around you, people who don’t just agree with everything but challenge your ideas and push you to think bigger.”
Its very exciting to follow the journey of the companies we have worked with and we are very excited on Service Lovers behalf and how far they have come.
Their innovative idea is cefrtainly something we see as a great
