The acquisition includes both the holding company and the software company Phinder itself, which makes a data protection solution for companies.
“From a societal perspective, it is important that we all trust that our personal data is processed correctly and within the law and companies’ ethical framework. Cookie Information’s mission is to deliver that trust to all of us. Therefore, we look forward to introducing Phinder’s data protection solutions to companies and public institutions in Denmark and internationally,” says Karsten Rendemann, CEO of Cookie Information.
Phinder’s solution enables companies and public authorities to ensure and document that their IT systems do not contain personal data that violates the GDPR law.
The acquisition is a strategic acquisition to support Cookie Information’s goal of becoming a global software company in data protection, says Karsten Rendemann.
Earlier this year, Kirk Kapital bought 40 percent of Cookie Information.
“The acquisition of Phinder is a natural extension of Kirk Kapital’s investment in Cookie Information earlier this year. That investment has already doubled the number of employees at Cookie Information to 50 in six months,” says Karsten Rendemann.
