Danish clothing brand Labfresh has raised 3 million DKK (approximately $500,000) through a crowdfunding campaign, which will be used to create a flagship store in central Copenhagen. The campaign, which ran for just three days, was supported by 140 of the brand’s existing customers.
Labfresh was founded by the Danish-Dutch duo Kasper Brandi Petersen and Lotte Vink, who already have a flagship store in Amsterdam, which was also created through a 3 million DKK crowdfunding campaign from 232 Labfresh customers in the Netherlands. The new flagship store in Copenhagen will be located on Købmagergade, near Strøget.
“We intentionally invest in one luxury store per country instead of having several small shops. 90% of our sales are online, but it is extremely valuable for us to be visible and in direct contact with our customers,” said Kasper Brandi Petersen about the new flagship store.
Labfresh has previously participated in the Danish TV show “Løvens Hule” (The Lion’s Den), where they received an investment from former education and research minister and entrepreneur Tommy Ahlers. The two entrepreneurs have also appeared on the Dutch version of the same concept.
