For the past 3 years CVX Ventures has been successful in connecting our partners with growth companies, and together we have already created significant value as investors, board members, and advisors. During this period, CVX partners have joined more than 80 boards/advisory boards and together we have invested more than DKK 50 million in more than 20 growth companies.
The aspirations for CVX Ventures do not stop here though, neither in terms of our own growth ambitions nor in terms of the development of new and exciting opportunities that we aim to offer our partners in the future.
Based on this success and the desire to further accelerate the development of CVX, we are very pleased to announce that Mikkel Fruergaard is joining as Group CEO & Partner in CVX Ventures. In addition to general business development, Mikkel’s focus will be on expanding CVX’s geographical scope to new countries, thereby contributing to greater value creation and opportunities for CVX’s partners and growth companies. Activities in more countries will make it possible for CVX to offer our partners both Danish and international board positions as well as investment opportunities in leading Danish and European growth companies.
Mikkel has previously held the position as Group CEO of NTG (Nordic Transportation Group), where he had great success with growth and internationalization of the company. In just 4 years NTG grew from 7 to 30 countries and increased its revenues from 1.7 billion to 5.3 billion DKK. During Mikkel’s time at NTG, he was responsible for several acquisitions and he was a driving force behind the company’s IPO on NASDAQ in Copenhagen. In addition, Mikkel has experience as CEO of Blue City, Denmark’s largest reseller of refurbished electronics, and as Senior Vice President at the shipping company DS Norden A/S.
